FCA ITALY: Melfi Plant

• HW and SW Design of Skid Lines, Painting.

• Development of the control system (HW and SW design) and construction of the electrical system for the Bumper Flaming Cabin and Painting.
• Supervision and management of ASUs. Revamping of spray booths and touch-up.
• Retrofit, HW/SW design, and commissioning of a new control, supervision, and management system for the paint mixing room at the PPG site.
• Renewal of all SCADA in the Painting Department, including the supply of all HMI and PC interfaces, the SCADA were developed on the WinCC platform.
• Technological upgrade of all process control systems (pretreatment, electroplating, sealing, booths) in the Painting Department. The project involved migrating the PLC systems from Siemens S5 to Siemens S7, and the upgrade also included all ancillary services (inverters, measurement and control systems, etc.). Furthermore, all inverters were integrated into the fieldbus (Profibus).

• Development of an application for analyzing and calculating the energy involved in the pretreatment and painting process in the automotive industry. The system is designed to assist the Energy Manager of a workshop and/or plant in measuring consumption and making future optimizations.
• Intermediate warehouse management system for pallets (stamping plates) in the body shop.
• Real-time management system for parts on body shop stamping lines.
• Retrofit preparation and cleaning of dust for spray booths (3 lines) Painting.

 

FCA ITALY: Cassino Plant

• SW conversion from Calcati Fata-Dea logic to Texas PLC logic of the handling systems (conveyor belts and skids) in Painting.
• Production system supervision and production management. Body shop.
• HW and SW design of Skid lines, ATM for propulsion assembly, Assembly.
• Product data supervision and management system Assembly.
• Creation of the control, regulation and supervision system for the retouching cabins including the supply of electrical panels and on-board equipment (turnkey).

FCA ITALY: Pomigliano Plant

• Rail-borne overhead transporter. Bodywork.

• Conversion of the logic from Siemens Simatic-N to S7 414 PLC logic of two rail-based overhead transport systems at the Alfa Romeo assembly plants 147 and 156.
• Development of the control system (HW and SW design and supervision) of the final quality control (roller conveyors + TTS) Assembly of the 156 Alfa-Romeo.
• Retrofit of the control and supervision system of the 3rd line of spray booths (booth + oven) Painting.
• HW/SW design of the process remote control system (Electroplating, Cabin Ovens, Keller) with centralized diagnostics, controls and start/stop planning of the system itself.
• Design and implementation of data network conversion from Ethernet H1 to TCP/IP Ethernet.
• Retrofit of the prep blower for dust cleaning in the spray booth with design and implementation of the new system for controlling and physically moving the equipment to a new location from the Painting Department.
• Technological upgrade of conveyor systems (Booths Strip Out). The project consisted of migrating PLC systems from Siemens S5 to Siemens S7-1500 series.
